Strengthening Parents Support Program – Carer’s News

by | 8 Dec, 2023 | News, RIAC | 0 comments

RIAC has been very busy in the carer space, working to expand our “self-care hub” model of support for carers across the Loddon Mallee. Carers of children under 18 years in Bendigo, Castlemaine*, Kerang and Cohuna can now join us to enjoy a cuppa and a chat and try out a variety of activities that promote relaxation, such as arts and crafts, adult colouring, as well as regular visits from a local massage therapist.

We also allow carers to exercise gently with other local carers at our walking groups in Bendigo and Castlemaine. The walks are appropriate for all levels of fitness. Both groups finish at a local café with a complimentary coffee.

There is no need to register; just come along and stay as long as you can.

*In collaboration with Bendigo Health, we also offer a self-care hub for carers of adults in Castlemaine.

If you would like to subscribe to this newsletter, email carers@riac.org.au or call Carolyn on 0488 605 636.
