Come and join us
RIAC currently has a Volunteer Board of Directors who contribute significantly to supporting the organisation and enhancing the services we provide. The contribution of our highly valued Board Members is fundamental to our service delivery.
There are also a wide variety of volunteering roles and opportunities available across our services for both individuals and groups. RIAC’s Self Advocacy Groups are needing support of volunteers to ensure their meetings are run smoothly. Also providing support to group members accessing public transport and attending forums and conferences in Melbourne would be extremely beneficial. The groups also need community support to run their events and raise money.
People choose to volunteer with us for a variety of reasons, including:
- Sharing their talents or specific interest
- Connecting with marginalised people in our community
- Meeting interesting and likeminded people
- Enhancing their skills in readiness for the workforce
